By creating an account or using Chopbook, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Chopbook helps you save, organize, and cook from recipes -- imported from links or photos, or entered manually -- along with meal planning and grocery lists that sync across your devices.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using Chopbook, you confirm you meet this requirement.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up, and let us know at support@chopbook.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of the notes, ratings, and photos you create or upload. By using Chopbook, you give us permission to store, sync, and display that content back to you across your devices as part of providing the service -- we don't use it for anything beyond that.
When you import a recipe from a link, the recipe itself remains the property of its original author or website -- Chopbook helps you keep a personal, organized copy for your own reference, and stores the original source link and author name alongside it. You're responsible for only importing content for your own personal use, respecting the rights of the original source.
Nutrition estimates and dietary labels (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.) shown in the app are generated by AI and are estimates only -- not verified, not medical advice, and not a substitute for checking ingredients yourself, especially if you have an allergy or medical condition. Always double-check ingredients directly if health or safety depends on it.
Chopbook relies on third-party infrastructure and AI services to function (import processing, account storage, hosting). We aim for a reliable experience but can't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for outages or issues originating from those underlying services.
Chopbook is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chopbook isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete Account), which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
